Untitled Trombone Music

Untitled Trombone Music is a simple piece about breathing. Each trombonist, standing in a circle surrounding the audience, makes eye contact with the player across from them, and plays a pitch for a single breath. When one player finishes, the player across from them begins. The shape and form of the piece is determined by the length of each breath.
The score and parts are available for purchase at the Canadian Music Centre. This piece can be adapted for any group of like wind instruments — if you’re interested in performing it for a different group, please contact me.
The recording below is binaural — listening with headphones simulates the spatial effect of the performance by the KC Trombone Ensemble.
